Welcome to the CVX Platform

I'm Charlie and this platform is my little corner of the internet. I started it a while back because I got sick of how over complicated the internet had become, it felt like a contest over who could retain my attention the longest by throwing brain-rot memes and shorts at me. Well frankly, that isn't something I enjoy. I don't want ads all the time, I certainly dont want AI either...

What Is CVX?

Wanting a platform I can share my articles and projects on, at the same time, was a pain to find and trust me I tried every mainstream and off-brand social platform out there before settling on developing my own platform from the ground up. That being this one. A simple and humble space. CVX is short for "Charlies Version Exchange" a nod towards VXUnderground, but more because I used the domain as a git-lab to manage version iteration. It became a collective service platform later down the line.

Projects on the Platform?

Together with some creative individuals I developed my first web-app called Chibi after some creatives got frustrated with the lack of market competition and the fact that, honestly, something simple and light-weight didn't exist yet that isn't deathly reliant on the likes of Discord to operate.

Add with that a few tools designed for speed, privacy, or productivity are now I'm slowly realising I've released a suite of different softwares for different markets. Chibi for vtubers/creatives, Strata for Discord and Social platforms, [redacted] for cyber security specialists, and others that are just as light-weight that I've been piecing together.

Whether you're here for the Articles, Chibi, Strata even, I am glad you've stopped by. For what its worth, even one visit makes this little platform feel a little less lonely.

VX Lab

If you've read the origin of the platform you'll know CVX stands for "Charlie's Version Exchange" and began as a GitLab for iteration control, before expanding to a platform to host utilities. This function isn't going away, I still want to host what I develop in both closed-and-open source for the public. As such CVX remains at its humble heart a platform for me to distribute code.

Meet Chibi

Chibi is my first web-app born of a disdain for the way similar apps paywall features, or are violently dependent on OAuth through Discord. Chibi is your animated self powered by real-time audio and image rendering.

Features include:
- Real-time talking animation
- A range of filters (such as breathing mechanics)
- Low-latency voice sync
- GIF support for frame-by-frame support!

Chibi is currently in closed beta with expanded access planned in the new year.

Strata Discord Bot

Strata is our public-facing bot designed for:
- Server automation made simple
- Moderation tools with slash commands and web-interface
- XDS (Cross Discord Server) intergration underway
- CVX-connect features (coming soon)

It’s lightweight, fast, and evolving. One of the earliest softwares I ever made actually!

What’s Coming Next?

I have several major updates in development:

~CVX API Gateway Rewrite Performance, scaling, and better endpoint isolation.
~Chibi Animations Avatars can now be gifs and I'll be releasing some click-and-apply customisable animations, and save presets.
~Unified CVX Account The issue myself, and others faced, was the violent reliance on Discord, Google or Twitch for web-apps particularly with Discords growing unreliablity as a platform and Google being, well, Google. As such whether you signed up with Discord, or another platform. You can add a local login, allowing for interchangeable logins even if an OAuth (third-party login method) goes down.
